Job Outline: Welder Helper

Experience:
Past work history with welding/fitting fabrication and some experience
in FCAW, SMAW, or GMAW welding processes preferred.
Work Hours:
Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. - Midnight
Pay Range:
$10.00 - $12.00/hr
Shift Differential: $2.00
Capabilities:
Metal cutting by use of oxygen/acetylene torch, plasma cutting
torch, metal cut-off saw or band saw required. A general knowledge
of FCAW, GMAW, or SMAW welding processes must be demonstrated.
Ability to use various hand tools (grinders, drill motor, tape
measure, etc.) for tasks of assembly or disassembly may be required.
A basic working knowledge of various types of metals (corten steel,
stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized) helpful.
Welder
Helper applicant must have welding hood and gloves and hand tools
as minimum equipment.
Ability
to read, understand, and work from detailed blueprints (including
knowledge of AWS welding symbols) a must.
Able
to understand instructions and carry out tasks as required by supervision.
Able
to lift up to 50 lbs., in repeated bending and stooping motions.
Able
to keep work area clean.
Describe
activities performed daily and account for them in the current timekeeping
system.
Pre-employment Requirements:
I understand that if a conditional offer of employment is made, I
must pass a drug test, and agree to both a criminal background and
