The Legendary Luxury Glass-Domed Railcar  Princess Cruises and Tours operate eight Ultra Domes in the Alaskan market place and two more domes are currently being constructed at this date. GCRC, Great Canadian Rail Tours operates four similar versions of the bi-level dome in the Canadian Rockies market and two more are currently being constructed. The proven profitability of the Ultra Dome® is reflected in the continuing orders for this superb railcar. 
The luxurious glass domed lounge with 4-top seating for up to 88 passengers features a standup service bar. Optional forward-facing, reclining and rotating seats available.
Ultra Domes feature open platforms on the lower level in
a variety of lengths. Polished stainless steel guardrails provide added safety. Optional ADA wheel chair lifts are available.
Utilizing two full floors of 1,600 square feet - 35 to 57% more floor space than conventional bi-level railcars.
Triple laminate 6 by 6 ½ foot windows with five inner layers of reflected and tinted material that reduce solar gain by 62%. Glass meets FRA specifications and is projectile resistant.
The elegant dining room seats up to 36 passengers with 4-top seating and large viewing windows at each table.
A complete stainless steel hotel-style galley with a capacity to produce
up to 300 gourmet meals per day. Complete refrigeration, storage & scullery are included.Two restrooms in each car, one being ADA accessible. Full sized sink and toilets with Corian cabinetry and mirrors. Stainless steel retention tanks under car. The car has ADA accessible aisles on the lower level. Optional elevator to observation lounge is available. Corten tubular steel in a bridge truss design. Corten sheet steel sides. The Ultra Dome® carries 40 tons of air conditioning in four individual units located under the car on slides for convenient track-side maintenance. Only the controls are located in the car. A sealed Maneurup compressor is featured. Trucks are GSI low clearance style with inside swing hangers and spring plank conversion. New or rebuilt trucks are available.
