Cabins
All cabins feature full facilities including showers, toilets,
wash basins, plentiful storage cabinets, televisions, VCR, audio,
telephone, reading lamps, large luxurious six foot couch &
easy chair, and steward call buttons.
Each cabin has independent heat and air conditioning controls
with twin beds for sleeping accomodations. Each car has an ADA
accessible cabin.

| Suite
and Mini-Suite
One suite and one mini-suite are located at the end of each
dome car on the upper level.
The suites are the ultimate rail accommodations for discriminating
travelers. Each suite features fine, rare wood veneers, large
six foot, button-tufted leather couch & easy chair, inlaid
table and desk, marble counter top in dressing area, and rich
carpeting with oriental throw rugs. The suites have separate
shower and toilet areas, spacious cabinets and hang-up storage.
Sleeping accommodations in the suite is a king-sized bed, and
the mini-suite has twin beds.

Bi-level

sizable cabins per car, utilizing two full floors of 1,600 square
feet; 35 to 57% more floor space than conventional bi-level railcars.
Glass Dome
Triple
laminate 6 by 6 ½ foot windows with five inner layers of reflected
and tinted material that reduce solar gain by 62%. Glass meets FRA
specifications and is projectile resistant. Double pane, insulated
glass is available as an option.
Construction
Corten
tubular steel in a bridge truss design. Corten sheet steel sides.
HVAC
The
Dome Sleeper carries 40 tons of hydronic air conditioning individual
units located under the car on slides for convenient track-side maintenance.
Each cabin controls its own temperature.
Trucks
Trucks
are GSI low clearance style with inside swing hangers and spring plank
conversion. New or rebuilt trucks are available.
