Observation Lounge

The luxurious domed lounge with 4-top seating for up to 76 passengers features a standup service bar. Optional forward-facing, reclining and rotating seats available.

The world's largest glass domed windows. Triple laminate 6 by 7 foot 8 inch windows with five inner layers of reflected and tinted material that reduce solar gain by 62%. Glass meets FRA specifications and is projectile resistant.

At Seat Dining

Elegant cuisine is served at your table. The large dome windows enhance the dining experience. Additional under-seat storage for dining supplies.

Galley

A compact stainless steel galley with a capacity to produce up to 150 gourmet meals per day. Complete refrigeration and storage are included. This galley is designed to use Sous Vide frozen food products.

2 Styles or Customized to Your Specs

Colorado Railcar's glass-domed windows are the largest used on any passenger car. Each tripple laminate window measures 6' x 7' 8" and has five inner layers of reflected and tinted material that reduce solar gain by 62%. Glass meets FRA specifications and is projectile resistant.

Open Platform

Open platforms are offered in a variety of lengths. Polished stainless steel guard rails provide added safety. Optional ADA wheel chair lifts are available.

ADA Rest Rooms

Two restrooms in each car, one being ADA accessible. Full sized sink and toilets with Corian cabinetry and mirrors. Stainless steel retention tanks under car.

The car has ADA accessible aisles on the lower level.

Construction

Corten tubular steel in a bridge truss design. Corten sheet steel sides.

HVAC

The Ultra Dome carries 36 tons of air conditioning in four individual units located under the car on slides for convenient track-side maintenance. Only the controls are located in the car. A sealed Manurup compressor is featured.

Trucks

Trucks are GSI low clearance style with inside swing hangers and spring plank conversion. New or rebuilt trucks are available.
