New
DMU a Hit in Vegas Colorado Railcar's innovative DMU emerged as a new star at the APTA equipment show in Las Vegas this past week. With numerous representatives of transit agencies and consultants, including DART, the Long Island Railroad, BART, CALTRAIN, Amtrak, Tri-Rail, VIA, and Las Vegas Transit, giving the DMU high accolades. Producing a new DMU that could meet the FRA new 49 Part 238 specifications and withstand the 800,000 lb. compression buff load test was thought to be an impossible task by many rail experts. The new DMU which recently surpassed all expectations during testing at the TTC in Pueblo, Colorado, is now headed for Railvolution on October 5, in Washington D.C., and an open house will be held for transit officials (for FRA, AMTRAK, APTA, FTA and Washington area governmental transportation representatives) at the Union Station on Monday October 7th. You are invited to step onboard here or at any one of several upcoming DMU demos and displays in the East Coast area this fall. Scheduled stops are: Railvolution Oct. 5; Bergen County, NJ Oct. 10-13; New Jersey Transit, Newark Oct. 14; Railway Age Conference, Washington D.C., Oct. 16. For a complete
listing of DMU Demos/Displays including proposed sites for the coming
year, visit our web at www.ColoradoRailcar.com
or review the attached itinerary. If you are coming to Railvolution,
please take the time to stop by booth 14 and we cordially invite
you to come by and see the new DMU at the Union Station, the evening
of Oct. 5, from 6 to 10pm. Thanks
and see you there,
